Mountain fjords on the wild side of the ice sheet — the most remote place we operate, and the best ski touring in the Arctic.
East Greenland is separated from the populated west by the ice sheet, and the difference shows. Tasiilaq, the largest settlement, holds about two thousand people; the fjords around it are ringed by unclimbed peaks rising straight from the water.
Access is via Iceland — a two-hour flight from Reykjavík to Kulusuk, then helicopter or boat. Weather governs everything here, and we say so plainly: programmes are built with contingency days, and clients need to accept that a schedule may move.
